My name is Mary Haley. I am married and have 2 daughters, Sandra and Tracey and a grandson Xavier. I have been cancer free for 14 years. I went in for a routine mammogram and a small nodule was detected. I then had to get an ultrasound, followed by a biopsy which did indeed show cancer. As a result of the cancer, I had a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy. I have come in contact with a lot of people with breast cancer and have been able to encourage some, with Gods help. If I had not went in for my mammogram, I would not have known I had breast cancer. So I encourage all women to do monthly exams and get your yearly mammograms. Because early detection definitely does save lives.
